I’m a Brit who moved to Canada. That’s pretty much it. There’s a lot of stuff that you encounter when moving abroad that most blogs don’t really talk about. This isn’t a travel blog and I am not (or plan to be) a digital nomad. I’m just a normal person working my way through life, experiencing as much and as many countries as possible.
I moved to Canada in June 2014 by myself. I didn’t know a single soul when I moved here. I travelled around the east coast for a bit before heading out to Vancouver on the recommendation of some travel buddies I met.
So that’s it. I didn’t leave some fancy job and have an endless pit of savings to travel. In fact I was a university graduate with two part-time jobs. I had some savings but in Canada money doesn’t last for very long, even when you have a job.
This blog documents my life from the day I got fired and the subsequent changes I made in an effort to move forward in life. I will also recount many of the tribulations and adventures I encountered when first moving here.
So time to grab a Tim Horton’s and get reading, eh?
